Neopets Treasure Hunt

Hidden around the NeoPets site are nine pieces of a map that lead to

riches! You can buy or find mep pieces in shops, trades, auctions... sometimes you may ven find one in a random event. Whenever you find a map piece, go to the treasure hunt page on NeoPets and you can see your progress. (Be sure you have the map piece in your items -- not your shop or inventory -- or it won't show up in the Treasure Hunt Page.) When the map is completed, you will be able to collect your prize! Collect all nine pieces of the Treasure Map and win anything from rare items to secret locations.

Each actual map piece is an item, and this means that it can be lost, stolen, traded, sold, auctioned, disintegrated, and so on... so be very careful!

There are five Treasure Maps in Neopia and each one is unique.

The Original Map gives you 5,000-10,000np
3 and 4 are very rare items at random

Spooky Map

The Spooky Map gives you:

5,000-10,000np

Many Spooky food items at random

Space Map

The Space Map gives you:

5,000-10,000np
3-4 very rare items at random

Raises the level of one of your pets

Underwater Map (Retired)

Now retired, The Underwater Map gives you:

5,000-10,000np
Many Aquatic food items

Raises the level of one or all of your pets

Secret Laboratory Map

The Lab Map gives you:

Permanent access to the Secret Laboratory Ray. [You can only access the Secret Lab if you have *completed* the Secret Lab Map Quest by getting all nine lab map pieces. You only need to complete the Lab Map once to be able to access the Secret Lab. After that, you can take your one of your pets to the Lab once a day. The Lab can increase or decrease your pets stats, change it's species, color or even it's gender! It's random tho, so take your chances. ]
